They were very successful as sea traders, trading wood, wine, ivory tusks, and even their own ships they built.

Built city-states all over the Eastern Mediterranean, and eventually had cities along the north coast of Africa, Sicily, Sardinia, and Spain.

The cities were close enough, made trade very easy.
Describe the Phoenician Alphabet and how it spread
They created their own system of writing to log the trades, symbols to represent sounds.
